他指出,有关建议是由妇女、家庭及社会发展部提出,以让各领域的私人企业员工从中受惠,即员工如有父母、祖父母、舅舅或姑姑等直亲或表亲不幸逝世者,将享有相关丧

There have been calls to amend the Employment Act 1955 for some time now, and after initially posting the proposed amendments for public engagement on the website of the Ministry of Human Resources, the government is now taking steps to table the proposed amendments to this legislation in Parliament. One of the many proposals is to increase maternity leave and to introduce paternity leave. But that is not the only proposal. “现在的情况是,一些领域劳资合约中已阐明相关事项,但不能只是这些领域透过争取后才享有这个福利,如果可以 我们希望中小型企业雇员也享有同样的待遇;但还是要交由技术小组和个别公会探讨这个措施,在收集回应后,才定是否要及如何实施。”
需要时间研究
古拉今早主持国家劳工咨询委员会第4次会议后坦言,他不会为这项福利设定一个期限,因为技术委员会需要时间研究相关建议,但表明将尽快商讨此事。
“技术委员会之前申诉开太少会议,现有又说有点多,但我们会尽力加快讨论此事。”
另外,古拉也说,本次会议商讨的其他事项,包括立法管制人力资源管理专才、提呈公务员和私人企业员工暂停工作15分钟,进行简单运动,而职场和谐技术委员会则已在本月22日召开会议,商讨了248个事项之多。
出席者包括大马职工总会主席阿都哈林曼梳、大马雇主联合会副主席拉马达斯和秘书拿督三苏丁。 新外劳体检措施减风险古拉指出,人力资源部也将探讨如何实行新的外劳体检措施,以减少他们传播肺痨等疾病的风险。
他说,现今的外劳体检政策存在一些问题,这些外劳一抵达我国后就由雇主负责体检事项,当他们在进行一系列体检后,若得知自己体检不过关时,就会逃走。
“所以,我们有意实施的新体检政策就是,我们会设立一个中心安顿这些外劳,让他们一入境我国,就要同时参与课程和体检,一旦体检不通过,我们就可以遣送他们回到个别的祖国。”
他说,外劳体检措施是为了确保我国人民安全受到保障,而且其他国家也实施类似的政策。
“虽然部分领域生产链提升后就减少依赖外劳,这不代表我们完全不需要他们,特别是那些出口领域,但他们逃跑的现象将对我国人民健康带来威胁,换作是我也不希望看到这个情况。”
