The Secretary of the State Executive Council of Pahang YBhg. Dato’ Sri Sallehuddin Bin Ishak has issued a Government of Pahang Gazette dated 30th May 2019 informing that the public holiday in conjunction with the Birthday of His Royal Highness the Sultan of Pahang for the year 2019 is 30th July 2019.
2) With the said amendment, Thursday, 24th October 2019 which was originally gazetted as a public holiday for the State of Pahang shall no longer be a public holiday for the State of Pahang.
3) Please be informed that Tuesday, 30th July 2019 shall be a public holiday for the State of Pahang in conjunction with the Birthday of His Royal Highness the Sultan of Pahang. The public holiday on 30th July 2019 is one of the five mandatory public holidays for the State of Pahang as provided under Section 60D(1)(a)(iii) of the Employment Act 1955.
4) In the event that Tuesday, 30th July 2019 is a rest day of the employee in the State of Pahang, the company shall by virtue of the proviso to Section 60D(1) of the Employment Act 1955 grant a paid public holiday on the working day following immediately the rest day for the employee covered by the Employment Act 1955.
