KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 25) | British American Tobacco Malaysia Bhd (BAT Malaysia) has been recognised as a Top Employer in Malaysia for the sixth consecutive year by the Top Employers Institute.
In a statement on Saturday (Feb 25), BAT said it also received the award for Top Employer in the Asia Pacific and was one of the 15 certified Global Top Employers recognised worldwide by Top Employers Institute.
BAT Malaysia was selected for its outstanding strategies and people practices, along with its consistency and commitment to enriching the world of work on a global scale.
BAT human resource director Adrita Datta said the company’s focus on driving high performance, developing the next generation of leaders, valuing the diversity of its employees, and creating an engaging culture wherein individuals and teams can be successful, is the cornerstone of its strength.
We remain committed to providing meaningful career opportunities for our people and accelerate new capabilities to support our purpose of a better tomorrow,” she said.
Top Employers Institute is the global authority on recognising excellence in people practices.
The Top Employers Institute programme certifies organisations based on the participation and results of their human resources (HR) best practices survey.
Meanwhile, Top Employers Institute CEO David Plink said the turbulence impacting the workforce over the last few years has led many organisations, including its own, to rethink the way they approach the changing dynamics of work.
Despite all these changes, certified top employers have continued to go above and beyond to maintain their excellent people practices in the workplace, he said.
