PUTRAJAYA: The government will declare an additional public holiday next Monday if Aidilfitri falls on Friday, says Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
This will be on top of the public holiday on Friday.
However, if Aidilfitri falls on Saturday, the additional public holiday will be fixed for Friday, while the Raya public holiday falls on Monday.
Anwar said this will only be for the peninsula and Labuan, as Sabah and Sarawak will declare their own state holidays.
