ALOR STAR: An investigation was launched against a cosmetic and health supplement product manufacturer for their failure to pay salaries to its employee
Arzanil Bahadon, the State Labor Department’s director, reports that from 2018 up until recently, the department received 18 complaints from firm employees regarding alleged violations.
However, the number of unpaid wages could not be provided due to the ongoing proceedings.
The company was being investigated under the Employment Act 1955 and necessary action will be taken.
Arzanil further advised that workers who have experienced unfair treatment from their employers file official complaints with the Labor Office.
