This regional first brings together distinguished HR leaders and practitioners from across industries, sparking thought leadership and innovation, while championing enhanced people management standards in the country.
Chaired by Datuk (Dr) Nora Abd Manaf, Chartered FCIPD, Group Chief Human Capital Officer of Maybank, the committee aims to foster the development of HR capabilities, tackle industry challenges, forge strong relationships with key stakeholders, and enhance the CIPD’s standing in Malaysia. This assembly of distinguished members will play a pivotal role in guiding the CIPD’s outreach, research, and engagement strategy, ensuring the timely delivery of impactful information and initiatives to the wider community of HR professionals in Malaysia.

Datuk Nora’s appointment is set to bring a unique voice to Malaysia’s HR community throughout her two-year tenure. Her selection not only underscores the CIPD’s commitment to harnessing the expertise of Malaysia’s foremost HR leaders to drive transformation, but also draws on her ability to rally industry leaders that are passionate about shaping the nation’s HR landscape, in line with CIPD’s mission.

In recognition of this collaborative success, the CIPD has awarded PETRONAS its prestigious People Development Partner (PDP) distinction, positioning PETRONAS as the first PDP organization in Asia.

Celebrating Achievement
In celebration of its commitment to HR excellence in Malaysia, the CIPD recently held a roundtable dialogue in collaboration with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) International University, which explored critical HR topics in the region. The event also conferred the title of Visiting Professorial to Peter Cheese, further reinforcing the CIPD’s dedication to nurturing knowledge-sharing and expertise in the region.
Notably, during this event, the CIPD also awarded 10 distinguished HR practitioners with the title of Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD) membership. These accomplished individuals stand as the gold standard for HR excellence, setting a benchmark for the profession.
